Our History & Mission
The Oblates of St. Joseph Seminary & Chapel is rooted in the spiritual legacy of St. Joseph Marello, who founded the Oblates of St. Joseph in 1878 with a profound devotion to the foster father of Jesus. Our community carries forward that mission by fostering holiness through humble service, prayer, and dedication to the Church. The seminary and chapel serve as a center for formation, worship, and outreach, welcoming all who seek to deepen their relationship with God. Learn more about our journey and the values that guide us in our History & Mission and About the Oblates pages.
A Place of Prayer and Devotion
At the heart of our life is a commitment to prayer, especially through the devotions that have shaped our identity. We honor the Blessed Virgin Mary with regular Marian Devotions, seeking her intercession and example of discipleship. We also foster a deep reverence for St. Joseph Marello through Devotions to St. Joseph Marello, whose life of quiet strength and obedience inspires our daily work. Additionally, we offer opportunities for Eucharistic Adoration, a time of silent contemplation before the Blessed Sacrament that renews our spirits and unites us more closely to Christ.
Meet Our Community
Our community is made up of dedicated priests, religious, and lay staff who serve with joy and generosity. They are the living witnesses of our mission, offering spiritual guidance, education, and pastoral care. To learn more about the individuals who make our ministry possible, please visit our Our Staff page. We are grateful for their commitment and for the many volunteers who support our work.
